Every service gets a *.kilat.host address. You can change it, attach your own domain, or register a new domain from your wallet.
Primary address
In the service's Domains tab you can change the Kilat subdomain. Apps that register callback URLs elsewhere, such as Hermes Agent's dashboard login, must be updated when the primary address changes.
Custom domains
- Add your hostname in the Domains tab.
- At your DNS provider, publish the A record and the TXT ownership record that Kilat shows.
- Select Verify ownership. Once verified, Kilat routes the domain and requests an HTTPS certificate.
DNS changes can take a while to spread. If routing fails after verification, use Retry routing. The Kilat address keeps working alongside your custom domain.
Registering a domain
Search for a name on the Domains page and pay from your wallet for 1 to 5 years; prices include PPN.
- Available extensions: .id, .com, .net, .xyz, .my.id, .web.id, .biz.id, .net.id, .co.id, .or.id, .ac.id, and .sch.id.
- .co.id, .or.id, .ac.id, and .sch.id are for organizations: pay first, upload the registrant's documents, and the domain goes live once the registry approves them. If they are rejected, the payment returns to your wallet.
- Auto-renew charges your wallet up to 30 days before the domain expires.
